Aer Lingus cabin crew at Shannon Cork and Dublin Airports have called off a planned work-to-rule.
Staff were due to take action today in protest at the introduction of new rosters with longer working hours and fewer breaks.
Trade union IMPACT suspended industrial action late last night to consider a recommendation issued by the Labour Relations Commission.
The 39 page document by LRC Chief Executive Chief Executive Kieran Mulvey is aimed at ending the dispute over working times.
A spokesperson for IMPACT says staff must be given time to digest the findings, and that it would be unreasonable to press ahead with strike action in the meantime.
The LRC recommends revising existing agreements in order to meet the objective of 850 flying hours a year as part of cabin crews’ overall working time.
Yesterday, the airline vowed to break even this year after reporting a dramatic fall in financial losses.
