A member of Clare's Special Policy Committee on Housing says there needs to be a joined-up approach to tackling the social housing list in the County.
13 social housing groups met recently in Council offices to discuss various strategies to address the problem locally and will make a presentattion to the the Housing Committee shortly.

There are currently around 4000 families on the social housing list in Clare.
Dermot Hayes says various groups working together is the best way to get that number down.
