The government has been urged to make clearer the laws regarding unfinished housing estates, and who addresses problems facing residents in these areas.
It follows an incident in Westbury recently, when a joyrider collided with a lamp post in the Clonard estate, leaving it in a dangerous situation.
Clare County Council says it’s repair is a matter for the liquidator appointed to the firm which constructed the site, but they disagree, and now locals want the matter to be addressed soon.
