The Seanad has heard calls for investment in wastewater infrastructure in one East Clare village.
Broadford is among 36 different areas in ten counties where untreated waste water is being released into the environment and locals there have long-since campaigned for investment.
Green Party Senator Roisin Garvey says the Government needs to address the issue, and thinks the community could thrive if funding was made available.
