The Inagh-based CEO of Muintir na Tire believes further financial resources being allocated to the National Broadband Plan rollout would be money well spent.
It follows National Broadband Ireland’s appearance before the Oireachtas, where the company revealed it could be 2023 before it gets around to premises missed because of the pandemic.
Though the rollout is now six months behind schedule, NBI says it remains confident the project can be delivered by 2027 or earlier.

Niall Garvey says COVID-19 has further increased the need for a speedy rollout, and believes further resources should be considered for it in the upcoming Budget.
