It’s claimed dog owners in Ennis are crying out for a designated park to walk their pets in.
Ennis Councillor Johnny Flynn says a number of owners have raised the matter and are planning to bring a petition forward to urge the local authority to consider it.
His motion for a park with a puppy section, water taps and a wood-chipped play area has effectively been shot down by the council’s director of services, who says the resources are not in place.

Fine Gael Councillor Flynn says it should be on the agenda for next year’s Local Area Plan for Ennis – and that it would benefit dog-owners and non-owners alike
