Clare’s Government representatives are being urged to fight to protect the county’s rural transport service which is seen as a life line to people in rural communities.
Under a draft report from the Transport Department , the 35 community based companies nationwide, including Clare Accessible Transport would be abolished and replaced with 8 regional authorities.

Its all part of efforts to reduce administration costs which would also see the numbers working across the network cut from 108 to 32.
