Governors at the University of Limerick are to be asked to consider changing it’s name to reflect it’s expansion into Clare.
Meelick Councillor Cathal Crowe has suggested that the name be changed to ‘The University of Limerick and Clare’, given that the college continues to expand on the Northern bank of the River Shannon.

Clare County Council are to write a letter to the university’s Governing body to ask them to consider the name change which Councillor Crowe feels is overdue
