Calls have been made for emergency funding to be made available to tackle long term flooding issues in Newmarket on Fergus.
It comes as a section of the Ennis to Limerick rail line at Ballycar, which has been underwater since December, is set to re-open next week.

Local Councillor Pat McMahon says works need to be carried out to prevent futher flooding, particularly in the areas of Rathfolan, Leminagh Mór and Cleanagh.
And while he concedes that a lot of work needs to be done in these areas, Councillor McMahon insists there's an eagerness to solve the problem once and for all.
