It’s claimed charges for the Clare Fire services are ranging from 150 Euro to 20,000 Euro.
The figures were raised with calls for a public awareness campaign to remind Clare householders and business owners that they’ll have to foot the cost of calling out the fire services to their premises.

The charges vary depending on the duration of the fire, the attendance of extra fire personnel and whether the fire happens at night time or on bank holidays.
Deputy Mayor of Ennis Michael Guilfoyle says many people may struggle to pay the fees, and might take more preventative action if they knew of the financial costs.
