Clare County Council has been asked to appoint an independent expert to assess whether a new water treatment plant in Ennis is up to task.

Works to rectify this issue were carried out last week, and since then no new problems have emerged.
The matter was discussed by Ennis Town Councillors last evening, and their concerns will now be passed onto Clare County Council, the water services authority for the town.
Councillor Johnny Flynn says the people of Ennis deserve to be briefed on the plant
