Last night the minister for Health blamed cabinet colleagues for a lack of support in sorting out a review of the issuing of medical cards.
The topic was again raised in the Dáil today, where Fianna Fáil criticised James Reilly and Alex White as the 'laurel and hardy' of the government.

Though his political future seems uncertain, Labour has stood by James Reilly for now.
