Calls have been made to identify the exact location of potentially life saving equipment in Ennis amif fears that locals won’t be able to find it in an emergency.
Though many community groups and sports clubs have fundraised to provide heart defibrillators, and they’re provided by at the local council offices and the Lees Road facility, it’s emerged there’s little public awareness of where the machines are situated throughout Ennis, or whether they can be accessed 24 hours a day.
