Renewed calls have been made for the NRA to provide funds to upgrade the main Ennis-Ennistymon route, following another serious accident on the road.
A car left the the N85 road at Kilnamona late on Thursday night, and ended up in a river that runs adjacent to the route.
Emergency services attended the scene, but no one was badly injured

Local Councillor James Breen says accidents on this stretch of road are all-too common, and is calling on the National Roads Authority and Clare’s Oireachtas members to take immediate action
