The organisers of a major cycling competition in Clare are being urged to all they can to maximise visitors numbers to the county during the event.
Fine Gael Councilor Martin Conway has called on Shannon Development, Bord Failte and representatives from the private sector to meet ahead of the staging ot the Etape Hibernian here in August.
The event will see up to 2000 participants cycle on an 80-mile route that starts and ends in Ennis, and takes in scenic parts of North and West Clare.
