Carers Groups across Clare are urging the new government to follow through on pledges made to the sector prior to the general election.
Represenatives from the 9 organisations across the county are attending the 20th Annual Respite Break and Conference orgainsed by Ennis based Caring for Caring Ireland.
Among the topics up for discussion over the weekend are caring in challenging times and workshops on sustaining long term care in the home.
