A Clare Fine Gael TD has called for flat-rate water bills to be capped at no more than €150 per year.
Clarecastle representative Joe Carey has suggested the figure to government as Ministers hold talks on the expected changes to the water charging structure.

The Taoiseach has promised a statement next week, and says it will restore clarity and confidence.
Deputy Carey also believes it's important that measures are also implemented for those who can't afford to pay.
