Fianna Fáil’s Cathal Crowe has confirmed that he wants to run in the next General Election.
As had been widely expected, the Meelick Councillor confirmed he will seek the support of party delegates at their next selection convention, whenever that is held.
His election chances were given a significant boost recently, when the Boundary Commission recommended that nearly 5,000 voters in his own base of South-East Clare be moved back into the Clare constituency for future elections.
Councillor Crowe says he wants to work with current Fianna Fáil TD Timmy Dooley to win a second seat for the party in Clare.
