The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council has condemned the continued presence of cable ties on polls across the county.
The deadline for election candidates to take down their campaign posters was on the 4th of March, however there is widespread evidence of cable ties being left behind after their removal.

Independent Councillor James Breen wants candidates from all parties and none to work together to ensure they are removed.
Councillor Breen has been outlining his suggestion for dealing with the problem.
