The Cathaoirleach of Clare County Council says the county is not getting its fair share of local property tax funding.
Councillor James Breen is commenting ahead of a special Council meeting this afternoon where a decision will be made on whether to retain a fifteen per cent cut in the local property tax.

Local authorities retain 80 per cent of money collected, while 20 per cent of the tax take here goes into an equalisation fund which is re-distributed to councils with a lower tax base.
Councillor Breen says Clare is propping up other counties.
