The funerals of Ruairi and Eoghan Chada will take place in Co Carlow today.
The brothers – aged 5 and 10 – will be buried this afternoon following requiem mass in their home village of Ballinkillen.
Last night 43 year old Sanjeev Chada appeared in court in Swinford charged with his sons murders.
Detective Sergeant Gary Walsh told the Swinford District court he charged Mr Chada at Westport Garda Station at ten to eight – with two counts of murder.
After being cautioned the court heard that he replied "I’m sorry, I really wish I hadn’t done it"
Solicitor James Hanley made an application for legal aid – saying his client has no income whatsoever and has been living with his wife, who is employed, near Bagnelstown in Carlow.
It was granted after no objection from the Gardaí.
Judge Mary Devins remanded him in custody to appear in Harristown District Court at 11 this morning.
