The Chair of the Clare Vintners Association hopes the government will make a renewed effort to assist small and rural pubs and hospitality businesses.
It comes as the Drinks Industry Group of Ireland launches its "Support Your Local" campaign for 2016, which highlights the contribution the drinks and hospitality sectors make to the economy.

Research shows the sector supports nearly 5,900 jobs in Clare and contributes to local agriculture, wholesalers and producers.
Charles O'Meara from the Clare Vintners Association says local businesses must be given the chance to compete with larger companies.
