The Government will publish new child protection guidelines later today, just days after the release of the Cloyne report.
State agencies including the HSE and the Gardaí , along with voluntary bodies dealing with children will be subject to a new statuary code under the new "Children First" guidelines.

Meanwhile, pressure continues to mount on Bishop Magee – the former head of the Diocese of Cloyne – to answer publicly for cover-ups of clerical abuse.
