Community childcare services in two West Clare towns are resuming today.
It brings to an end a long-running period of uncertainty for parents in Kilkee and Kilrush following the shock closure of the West Clare Early Years Services in February,

Services have already been restored in Kimihil, Lisseycasey and Kildysart but a number of issues including the approval of redundancies for former staff led to further delays for the final two centres.
The Clare Local Development Company took on the responsibility of getting the creches re-opened in both Kilrush and Kilkee and CEO Doreen Graham says the announcement has provided relief for many parents in the area.
