21 year old Cian suffered major spinal injuries in an accident following his final exams at the University of Limerick last May and was on life support for 10 weeks following the incident.

Cian has made significant progress though, and after almost a year of rehabilitation, speech and physiotherapy therapy, he’s now using a wheel-chair and preparing to make his first home-coming to Kildysart for the May Bank Holiday weekend.

In an interview to be broadcast on Clare FM’s Morning Focus – Cian’s father Jacko Cleary has thanked the public for their generous support and he paid tribute to Cian’s positive attitude as he makes plans to return to college
