The system designed to help homeless people find emergency accommodation hasn't been updated in almost 30 years, according to Focus Ireland.
The charity has released its annual report today showing a nine percent rise in demand for its services over the past year.

But it says it's under enormous pressure and warns there are long delays finding beds for families who're out on the streets, with many not getting refuge until after midnight each night.
