Home care services for older people are being dictated by a post code lottery, according to elderly advocates.
A new report claims home help is underfunded and disorganised, with huge discrepancies depending on where people live.

Social Workers, Age Action and the Alzheimer Society have conducted the research, which also shows that expensive nursing home care is being prioritised, instead of helping residents to stay in their homes as they age.
But they say half of all nursing home residents could still be living at home, IF they were given the right support.
