It claimed plans for a new university town in Clare could damage the connections between UL and Limerick.
Green Party candidate Brian Leddin has hit out over the plans by Clare County Council, which will result in the development of a Strategic Development Zone in the North Campus at the University of Limerick.
The proposed town is expected to create thousands of jobs.
