Claims That Tax Breaks For Expats Won’t Address Real Issues

An opposition TD says tax breaks for expats wouldn't address the real issues facing young people trying to return to Ireland. 

The Social Democrats' Catherine Murphy says the cost of living is a huge barrier.

A proposed scheme would see highly skilled graduates paying just a 30 per cent rate of tax for five years if they returned.  

But Catherine Murphy says this wouldn't help lower skilled workers abroad who want to come home.
