Clare County Council is to receive over 70 thousand euro to help it cover the costs associated with Storm Ophelia.
A rare Status Red alert was issued last October when the ex-Hurricane brought widespread disruption to many parts of the country.
Somewhat unusually, Clare escaped the worst of the damage, but there was a significant response by the local authority which is now recouping funds from a seven million euro government fund.
