Beach goers in Clare are being warned that a sting from the deadly Portugese Man-Of-War Jellyfish could have potentially life threatening consequences.

The creature looks quite harmful in appearance but its tentacles' sting can cause serious harm, whether they're alive or dead, as they release a dangerous toxin to fight their pray.

The Portugese Man-Of-War has floated to the South and West of Ireland due to a current of warm air sweeping up from the tropics and John Leech from Irish Water Safety is warning people not to touch them under any circumstances.
