Clare Campaigner Skeptical On Fianna Fail’s Irish Water Stance

Aleading anti-water charges campaigner in Clare says she has no confidence in a Fianna Fail commitment to seek the abolition of Irish Water as part of negotioans on forming a new government. 

The party says it is in favour of scrapping the utility and returning responsibility for collecting water rates to local authorities.

It's planning to make water charges a central plank of of government talks, while Taoiseach Enda Kenny says he's prepared to discuss the issue.

General election candidate Niamh O'Brien of Clare Watch, formerly known as Clare Says No,  believes Fianna Fail's stance is simply a play for power.
