A Corofin woman who is batting both cancer and Crohn’s disease is joining calls for the immuno compromised to be prioritised for the COVID-19 vaccine.
Those with underlying conditions may be moved up the vaccination list as the National Immunisation Advisory Committee review the current plan.
Mother-of-two Barbara Leen is fearful she may contract the virus either in the community or in a hospital setting, which she has to visit regularly.

She says receiving the vaccine quicker would provide greater reassurance to herself and her family.
