Clare's motor dealers have reported a bumper start to the New Year.
784 new passenger cars were registered in the county in the first month of the year, up nearly 40% on the same time last year.

In percentage terms it's the second highest increase recorded in any county in Ireland.
It's the busiest January reported by Clare's car dealers since 2008 and Jason Cummins of Cummins Car Centre at the Ballymaley Business Park in Ennis says there are several reasons.
