Communities throughout Clare will come together today as part of celebrations for International Music Day.Events are being held in Kilrush, Kilkee, Shannon, Tulla and Killaloe among others, with the largest concert taking place in Ennis this evening.
A host of top traditional music acts will perform before a large crowd in ‘Clare Connections’, a free event taking place at the Abbey Street Car Park in the town.

Member of the organising committee Tracy Crawford says they’re hopeful it will pave the way for further celebrations in the town as part of The Gathering next year.
