The Clare Representative of Cystic Fibrosis Ireland has dismissed claims that talks on a life-changing drug have broken down

Reports today suggest that discussions between the HSE and pharmaceutical company Vertex on the drug Orkambi, have failed to reach agreement.
The company initially requested almost 160,000 euro for the drug, a price that was rejected by the HSE as "exorbitant", but has since issued a revised offer.
Shannon man Ciaran McCarthy, whose daughter suffers from CF, understands that offer is being considered by the HSE.
