A recent report has found the average weekly cost of full-time childcare here is €155.30.
That's nearly 12 euro a week less than the typical national figure, while the costs in Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown sees parents there pay over €3,000 more each year.
The Early Years Sector Profile report has also found that there is an average of 32 children in each childcare facility here, the lowest of any county in Ireland, though the annual rates costs paid by them is among the lowest in the country.
