Clare County Council says it' committed to sourcing suitable properties for social housing through a range of measures.
It follows the release of new figures, which show that 150 NAMA-owned properties offered to the local authority between 2013 and 2016 were rejected, while 77 were accepted.
The local authority says that any offer of residential accommodation that the council or Approved Housing Bodies can use, has been accepted and is either in use or will be delivered in the coming year.
A number of the rejected properties were holiday home type developments or units located in areas without a social housing need, while others were rejected for structural reasons.
There's over 3,000 people on the social housing list and Killaloe Councillor Tony O'Brien, who's a member of the council's housing committee says its important that suitable accomodation is provided to them
