Clare community and voluntary organisations involved at decision making at a local authority level have recieved a much needed financial boost.
Over 13 thousand euro is being allocated to Clare County Coucil to suppor the work of the local Fora, which is one of 34 nationwide set up in 2000 to promote partership between the state and communties at a local level.

The fora nominate members onto various local government structures such as Joint Policing Committees and Strategic Policy Committees and are actively involved in providing training and support for people involved in voluntary activity.
