Councillors who oppose the planned Limerick Northern Distributor Road say the battle against the project is only beginning.
That's despite Clare County Council's decision to back the new road, which will cost an estimated 120 million euro.

Plans for it will have to be submitted to An Bord Pleanala, and the planning appeals authority will be told how residents say it will devastate the community of Parteen, and run through flood plains in Clonlara.
Independent Councillor Michael Begley says the battle goes on.
