Clare Councillors are adding their voice to calls for new laws to govern clampers in the county.
It follows a number of incidents where members of the public complained at the manner in which on the spot cash payments were demanded by clampers in private estates after their cars were clamped.
The Council has no role in patroling these activities in private estates, but Kildysart Councillor Oliver Garry has asked that the Transport Minister be contacted in relation to local concerns.
