Clare County Council faces a 150,000 euro legal bill following a dispute over public right of way at Donald Trump's Doonbeg Hotel and Golf Resort.
Local man James McNulty, has won his battle to retain right of access to the beach through the US billionaire's golf course.

A previous High Court case brought by Mr McNulty against a Council decision to extinguish the right of way was dismissed in 2011, but this was appealed to the Supreme Court.
Yesterday, it heard the Council will no longer go ahead with extinguishing the right-of-way, and the Court ordered that the costs of the appeal be awarded in favour of Mr McNulty.
