Tourism and business links between Clare and the US are expected to be strengthened today.
The County Council is playing host to a landmark delegation from the states today
The 40 key members from the Illinois Senate and House of Representatives have travelled to Clare to meet with tourism and business interests over the coming days.

They include Illinois firms based in the region along with Shannon Development and Enterprise Ireland. The delegation will also take in the Cliffs of Moher and attend functions at Dromoland and Bunratty Castle.
Mayor of Clare Tony Mulcahy says the visit sends out a clear message to the wider business community that Clare and surrounding counties can offer real opportunities for investment.
