Clare County Council has issued a storm warning for the entire county as Storm Eva approaches.
A status orange wind alert is in place from 1 o'clock this afternoon with winds of up to 65 kilometres per hour, and gusts of up to 110 kilometres per hour forcast.

As a precautionary measure, the local authority is urging land, home and business owners, particularly those in low lying coastal areas, to take precautionary steps in light of the heightened flood risk.
