Clare County Council has been monitoring the risk of coastal flooding today and tomorrow, as part of the latest spring tide.
The local authority has issued a warning due to a high tidal surge, and accompanying southwest to west winds, expected over a 36-hour period beginning the morning.

The Council is liaising with Met Eireann, and will issue further advisories if required.
Conditions are not as severe as was experienced in January and early February, but caution is advised in areas where coastal flooding has previously occurred
