Local authorities in Clare are being urged to follow the example of Dublin City Council and cut commercial rates for struggling businesses across the county.
It follows a move by Dublin Councillors to slash rates by 1.7 percent during the annual budget meeting for 2012.
On Monday Clare County will deliver plans for cost saving measures for the coming 12 months while the Ennis Town Council budget is up for debate on Tuesday.

In recent years both councils have frozen commercial rates for the local business sector, however local businessman and President of Ennis Chamber of Commerce John Dillane hopes they will go one step further this time round
