Clare County Council are being urged to reduce rates being paid by tourist providers particularly in West Clare
The call comes amid a reduction in tourism numbers across the county in light of the recession.
The local authority say that they recognise the difficulties being experienced by commercial businesses and have a variety of payment options for those who are finding it hard.
