The Mayor of Ennis says the local authority will be guided by national advice in terms of holding any council meetings during the COVID-19 pandemic.
County and city councils nationwide are awaiting legal advice after being told they can’t meet via teleconference, following concerns that any votes carried out on Zoom or Skype may be subject to legal challenge.
All municipal district meetings are now postponed until after the next full county council meeting, while a decision on that meeting has yet to be announced.
