Four of Clare’s sporting heroes will be honoured with a civic reception at Áras Contae an Chláir this evening.
Special Olympics atheletes Emma Barrett, Jean Moloney and Mairéad Moroney will be honoured for their medal success in Abu Dhabi in March.
Emma took home a gold medal in swimming, while golfing partners Jean and Mairéad managed silver in their event.

Also being honoured is Noel McNamara of O’Callaghans Mills, who is the head coach of the Irish Under 20s, who completed a Grand Slam at the Six Nations this year.
