Hope That €200,000 Renewal Of Clarecastle Will Lead To Business Boost

It’s hoped a €200,000 renewal of Clarecastle will entice new businesses to pop up in the village, once the COVID-19 pandemic comes to an end.

The public consultation on the works, which are being funded through money granted via the the Town and Village Renewal Scheme, is closing on April 27th.

The majority of the works are planned for the village centre, around the junction area of the main artery running through it, and it will include road and path improvement works as well as the likes of extended paved areas and street furniture.

Clarecastle Fine Gael Councillor Paul Murphy is encouraging everyone who can to make their views on the plans known before the deadline but says he has high hopes for the project.
